Effective 1st July, 2020; Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) automated update of Taxpayers TIN registration details in both E-Tax and ASYCUDA. This happens at Midnight daily upon approval of registration details in Etax. However, this only happens for those who applied for imports and exports at first time registration.
For old TINs and those who had not registered for Imports and Exports, they can now do this update through their TIN account login on the Single Window portal. This action enables clients to update their registration details and also update their exemption status (Withholding Tax and Domestic Value Added Tax exemption updates) in ASYCUDA. Clients will no longer be required to report this online or walk to any URA office for facilitation.
Step 1: Type https://singlewindow.go.ug/ to access the Uganda Electronic Single Window portal
Step 2: Click on Get Started, go to E-Services and then click on Licensed Customs Agents
