Kugonza Denis Kateeba has joined Uganda Revenue Authority as Commissioner Tax Investigations from Uganda National Roads Authority where he Worked as Manager Accounts and Analysis.
He is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience of providing comprehensive financial analysis and advisory to management for driving organisation strategy. His work ethic has been characterised with resilience, strong-mindedness and determination.
Before joining public service, Kateeba worked with the Howard Frank Chartered Accountants & Auditors, London, UK and also served as a Financial Specialist on different Commissions of Inquiry in Uganda.
The Department which Kateebe heads now is mandated to investigate tax evasion, fraud and related criminal activities committed by tax payers with a view of enhancing voluntary compliance.
He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA-UK) and a member of Institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Uganda.
Kateeba holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce degree from Makerere University. He has received extensive training in Taxation, Investigations, Risk Management and Accounting Systems.
