Last Friday, intelligence gathered in Bukwo and Suam River by the Mbale enforcement team cast a light on a notorious smuggler of wheat flour. The intel indicated the smuggler’s intention to deliver smuggled wheat to Budadiri on Friday night past midnight.
Little did he know that the enforcement team subscribes to “Team No Sleep”. The smuggler began his journey, deploying a Toyota Probox as his lead car and several boda-bodas to do recon on the official enforcement team’s vehicles.
As soon as the Isuzu UBL 193F entered the Narugugu junction,enforcement intercepted it. The next day, a Bukwo-based smuggler was nabbed amid a heavy downpour. The moto vehicle UBG 384 F had to be towed by a breakdown to the Mbale tactical base.
A verification operation revealed the following; 350 cartons of Pembe wheat flour,35 bags of sugar, an ISUZU ELF UBL 193F and an ISUZU ELF UBG 384F.
Offence Management awaits the owners of this contraband and the vehicles.
