Just two games to the end of the 2022-2023 corporate league season, URA has made it practically impossible for competitors to dismount it from the top of the table.
In the games that happened at Old Kampala Secondary School grounds last month, URA defeated Pepsi nine goals to one. Pepsi scored first, triggering the warrior spirit in the taxmen. The goal was equalized by Ignatius Majwega, who, in total, scored six goals in all games. URA also defeated Nile Breweries and Exclusive Cutting 1:00 in both games.
This victory keeps URA at the top of the table with 76 points and 53 goals. The team coach, Mr. Muwanuka Paul, credits the success to experienced players in the league, competitive bonding among players, and mastering the pitch organization.
The URA above 35 pulled a draw against MTN above 35 years. This was made possible by the pitch leadership of Mr. Kyondo Barungi Geoffrey, who is the technical director of URA FC, assisted by Uwayezu Alex of the debt collection office and Abeine Bestie from Domestic Taxes.
Meanwhile, the teams will gather for their final games this month.
