Busoga business leader pays courtesy call to URA

The Chairperson Busoga Business Community, Daniel Gabula visited URA’s Public and Corporate Affairs Division to maintain good relations with the taxman. During his visit, Gabula emphasized the need for providing the Busoga sub-region with thorough tax education in order to close the knowledge gap on new tax amendments, rental income, TIN registration, return filing, and other related tax matters.

He tipped URA on the booming sugarcane farming in Busoga sub-region, that can be a source of major revenue for national development.

The Ag. Assistant Commissioner Public & Corporate Affairs, Edrine Mutebi briefed the chairperson on the major innovations being implemented at URA to facilitate the taxpayer’s journey to tax compliance.

He highlighted URA’s collaboration with business associations stating that URA is prepared to assist all taxpayers and provide them with the tools they need to fulfil their tax obligations.

Meanwhile, the Busoga business community has been in operation for four years and it constitutes 19 enterprises across Busoga region.
